Welcome to Our Local
Professional, Clerical and Miscellaneous Employees Teamsters Local 995
Teamsters Local 995 was issued a charter on the 14th day of August, 1968 which allows it to function as an affiliate of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.
Through unity and determination our Local Union’s membership enjoys the highest level of wages and benefits by far than other employees performing work in like industries and job titles anywhere else in the State of Nevada. In the hotel and casino industry we have but to call or visit workers in Primm, Laughlin, Mesquite, Reno, Sparks and Carson City to find out that most of them earn $6.50 to $7.50 per hour, which is approximately one half of what our members earn.
The reason that our union has succeeded in winning good benefits for our members over the years has to do with our members’ unity. We have some ambitious goals for future contract negotiations for our members. We can achieve those goals only by remaining strong and united.
As a member of Teamsters Local 995, you will be called upon to do your share in your new workplace to keep the legacy that you inherit strong by joining our Local Union. Don’t let anyone bad mouth your Local Union in your workplace. Report violations of your labor agreement to your union’s business representatives.
